Offshore Autonomous Charging
The E-Sea Charging system provides offshore, renewable-powered charging for autonomous offshore vessels. By combining wave energy capture with intelligent power management, we extend mission times while eliminating the need for vessels to return to port for refueling.
This innovation reduces operational costs, lowers emissions, and enables new possibilities for maritime autonomous operations.
A collaborative research project
E-Sea Charging is an active research and development project, supported by the EKOO TSE grant from the Dutch Ministry of Climate and Green Growth. Weco is developing this solution together with Campusatsea, Lobster Robotics, DEMCON unmanned systems, Holland Shipyards Group, and Coastruction.
